Fire Department Salary
The entry level salary of the lower grade officer under Fire Department starts from Rs. 5200/- excluding the allowances and benefits. Home Guards, Firemen and such officer fall under this pay band that is PB-1. In each brigade nearly 2100 numbers of firemen are appointed.
The other officers above the firemen level fall under higher pay bands. Director is the highest level officer and of course he/she draws the highest pay of Rs. 80, 000/- per month excluding the allowances and perks.

Allowances and Perks
The Fire officers receive monthly allowances and perks. It varies from one designation to another. There are a number of allowances that are given to all the employees irrespective of levels. These allowances are dearness allowances, house rent allowances, travel allowances, hard ship allowances for the firemen, pension after retirement, provident fund and such.
The executive officers under the fire department receive lot more than these allowances. Their perks and allowances include vehicle allowances, phone, water, electricity, pension after retirement and other typical allowances.
Pay scale after 7th pay commission
As per the 7th central pay commission report the salary of all the employees under central and state government has risen to 23% and also some of the allowances have increased too. However the Grade pay has abolished instead many a allowances have added to the list.
