ISRO Scientist and Engineer Salary Pay Scale Pay Matrix Allowance Under 7th Pay Commission

The above centers recruit scientists, engineers and researchers for different posts. Now, a lot of people would be curious to know the different salaries. The engineers, researchers, and scientists working in ISRO are divided into two grades. One is called SC and the other is SD. The different centers of ISRO do not necessarily have difference in salaries. The classification is based on academic qualifications and posts. The engineers of both these divisions are included in same pay band of Rs 15000-39000. But, the grade pays might be different. The SC division allows a grade pay of Rs 5400. But the SD division offers a grade pay of Rs 6600.

Scientists or Engineers with special training in Industrial safety are also offered the same grade pay and pay band as Mechanical and Electronics Engineers. And this is same for a Chemical Engineer posts also. All these employees are included in SC category. A scientific assistant at SDSC will be provided with a pay band of Rs 9300-34800. The grade pay is Rs 4600. And the amount in hand is Rs 29481. The candidate needs to have a first class in B.Sc in Mathematics and Computer Science. The pay band and grade pay is same for a candidate with specialization in Library Science. If you have a first class in Maths, Chemistry and Physics, you can also try for the post of Scientific Assistant in ISRO.

Benefits for interviewing candidates from outstation
In different posts ISRO mentions travel benefit. But that will be for the outstation employees coming to work. In some cases, candidates are provided with Bus Fare, while sometimes they are provided with Second Class Railway fare. Sometimes if a candidate coming for interview, is from outstation, he/she is provided with train or bus fare. But that must be mentioned specifically in the online application.
