Details of Summer Allowance for 48 Lakh beneficiaries of Madhu Babu Pension Yojana and National Social Assistance in Odisha
As per the guidelines of the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana and National Social Assistance Programme, almost 48 lakhs beneficiaries will get rupees 100. It would be given by CM of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, as has been informed by Ashok Chandra Panda, Social Security, and Empowerment of Persons with Disability Minister.
Reporter sources said that there are a total of 28 lakh beneficiaries under Madhu Babu Pension Yojana. For the National Social Assistance Programme, there are 20 lakhs beneficiaries. The beneficiary amount will be given every two years to the beneficiaries. As in it is due for 2020, it will be given either by the end of May or the latest by the beginning of June.
Odisha became the first Indian state to offer financial benefits through social welfare programs to transgender. Minister of Odisha further added that he would offer rupees 2.50 crores to 13 organizations who will be responsible for taking care of awareness programs. The programs have been aimed for transgender covering 314 blocks along with urban local bodies that are located over 30 districts in the state.
The schools in the border run by SSEPD were given stipend ofrupees 1200 that would be increased to rupees 1750 monthly for 10 months. This shall help in the smooth running of the schools, as stated by the SSEPD Minister.
