Difference between Industrial Dearness Allowance and Central Dearness Allowances Pay Scale

Even though both Industrial Dearness Allowance and Central Dearness Allowances are calculated with respect to Average AICPI, there is a difference between Industrial Dearness Allowance and Central Dearness Allowances. It occurs because of the difference in the date of completion of revised pay scales.

  • Industrial Dearness Allowance is calculated quarterly with respect to the average of AICPI of Last 3 months, whereas Central Dearness Allowances is calculated 2 times a year
  • Industrial Dearness Allowance and Central Dearness Allowances are different for the employee and pensions holders in the Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India
  • IDA is for the public sector enterprises employee while the Central Dearness Allowances are for the Central govt employee

Even though both salaries are for the benefit of employee but there are some differences which are benefits differently for the employee
