Irrigation Department Employees Salary Pay Scale Pay Matrix Allowance Under 7th Pay Commission
The irrigation and flood control department is one of the major departments of India. But it is really sad to hear that the department has attained a reluctant behavior from the Indian government. And this is why a huge number of employees of the irrigation department have complained in the main office against the odd behavior of the Indian government. The irrigation employees urged the government for including the allowances within basic salaries and then revise the current scale according to the inflation of the present market.

According to the present government, 60% of the farming of the country is still dependant on rainwater. The government is not able to supply water for 60% of agricultural land. The government needs to provide proper irrigation water to 100 districts and recruit personnel for the proper maintenance and notifications. For the post of general Chief Engineer in the irrigation and flood control department, the pay band is Rs 16400-20000. The candidates for chief engineers need to have a degree from a recognized University or equivalent along with experience in the Irrigation and flood control works department of India.
The officers for the Irrigation department will have the option to draw the grade along with facilities like deputation allowance as stated by the Ministry of Finance. Along with the government facilities like traveling allowances, House Rent and Dearness Allowances will also be provided according to the regulations stated by the ministry of finance. The provisions from the ministry of Finance will also be offered to the officers. According to the reports, there are no direct changes in the pay scale of the irrigation department officers after the 7th pay commission has been formatted. But it can be said that Pay scales for Divisional engineers, Asst. Engineers, Asst. executives and SEs in the three wings of PWD (Building roads, Irrigation and Health) have improved.
